Being able to lose yourself in a completely different world is one of the perks of gaming. We get to traverse the imagination of others and it’s forever a joy.

With Nobody Wants to Die, we’re back in a cyberpunk world, a place of flying cars, neon-soaked city skylines, and technology we’re never likely to see. There’s also a mystery to solve, and we love one of those.

Cyberpunk worlds are unique and full of potential in gaming.

The year is 2329, the place is New York and in this noir story, immortality is something to buy for a premium price.

You have to lead the investigations as Detective James Karra and utilise advanced technology to solve the mysteries of a serial killer eliminating the city’s elite, that unravel around you.

There are shades of Cyberpunk 2077 in the technology around New York, but fans of Deus Ex will definitely feel the vibes when you see the gameplay in the trailer.

The hunt is on for a serial killer in a world where the rich can pay to download their memories and consciousness into memory banks. The elite rule all and can hop from body to body by way of their stored memories.

Is death a concept in this world? It seems there’s some philosophy flowing through the narrative in Nobody Wants to Die and questions will be asked of you regarding immortality.

From what we’ve seen so far, the backdrop of a far-future New York looks stunning and Unreal Engine 5 is pushing itself to create this jaw-dropping world. Everything from the architecture to the cyberpunk body mods look brilliant.

Coming to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series consoles, there is no firm release date set for this narrative adventure, but it’s one that’s worth keeping an eye on as it taps into some of gaming’s great tropes and features.
