Cyberpunk was always a pretty cool setting for a fictional release, but there's little way to deny that the release of Cyberpunk 2077 breathed immense amounts of life into what was already a pretty beloved world.
CD Projekt Red’s immense RPG is undoubtedly one of the best releases in the genre over the last decade or more, and the high-tech futuristic style has seemingly dug its claws into the gathered audience, and it's not letting go anytime soon.
Given how popular it has proved to be, there are all sorts of additional releases coming out that add depth to the original video game, giving us new stories set around the one we originally played through in 2020.
Up next is a brand new comic that should appeal to anyone that has even a passing interest in the games or even the original work.

Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome is the First Horror Release in Night City
As first reported by Screen Rant, Dark Horse Comics are set to release a brand new book series entitled Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome, with the first issue set to release very soon on 14 January.
Billed to the audience as a dark horror comedy, the new project has been developed in direct conjunction with CD Projekt Red, and it's set to be the first slasher experience ever written for the setting.

Written by Doug Wagner and illustrated by Tommaso Bennato, the series is set to span four different issues and should be available for purchase from all major retailers, as well as independent comic book stores, for around $5, though this may vary depending on where you're shopping from.
In the company’s own words, “A group of friends including a netrunner, a fire graffiti artist, an aspiring rockerboy, and an autotechie set off for a fun photoshoot at a landfill, where among heaps of rubbish, scrap, and metal, they’ll find a shot to die for! Rumor has it the place is haunted, and they’re about to find out, in Night City, there are things far more frightening than ghosts.
It serves as the latest release in an existing collaboration between the two companies, which has seen Dark Horse Comics drop several limited run adventures set within the Cyberpunk universe and Night City itself.
Given how popular XOXO proved to be with audiences, it’s difficult to see how this will be any different, particularly given its potential to draw in a new crowd who usually focus on the burgeoning market for horror comics.
