It’s only a few more days to go until the release of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0. Fans have been patiently waiting for Warzone’s sequel for some time now - the new free-to-play battle royale title will take the action to the city of Al Mazrah, located within the United Republic of Adal.

With the release date slated for 16 November, you wouldn’t think that there’d be too much longer to wait before players can get stuck in. However, the newly revealed file sizes for the game might mean otherwise, as they're pretty enormous.

Before we get into it, take a look at some gameplay footage from Modern Warfare II below.

As reported by ComicBook and PCGamesN, Warzone 2.0 is expected to take up a massive amount of space on PC and consoles alike. According to Twitter user @ALumia_Italia, on Xbox, the game demands a huge 115.62GB at launch, so it’ll be no fast download. You might want to set it going while you go do something else.

The situation is slightly worse for PC users. PCGamesN have shared the system requirements for Warzone 2.0, and report that a minimum of 125GB storage space is needed for the game. Yikes.

Annoying as it is that the upcoming title is set to devour everyone’s storage, it’s not surprising when you consider that the original Warzone is huge, too. Currently, the game takes up around 175GB on PC, so its sequel will apparently be slimmer than that, at least.

On Warzone 2.0’s release date, the first season of Modern Warfare II will also be kicking off, and the Modern Warfare (2019) map, Shoot House, will be added to the game (albeit in a “reimagined” form). The devs claim that “this live-fire facility is just as deadly as you remember it”, so get ready for that. A twist on the classic CoD 4 map, Shipment, is coming at some point during season one.
