The Game Awards 2025 was the one-stop-shop for all of your major game announcements overnight and although Bloodborne was once again left out of the running, it did actually feature in a blink-and-you-will-miss-it moment.
Let us face it, a Bloodborne remake, PC port or sequel feel as though they will never arrive despite fans pleading for them since the FromSoftware title first launched back in 2015.
Now considered as one of the best video games of all time, Bloodborne has cemented itself as a modern classic, albeit one that is stuck on PlayStation.
Despite this, fans still hope and pray that each major gaming event will be the home to a big announcement and alas, The Game Awards 2025 passed without one.
Advert
Or did it?
In a “love letter to games”, Bradley the Badger was just one of the many new and upcoming games announced at last night’s event.
In the action-adventure platforming title, players will get to experience a genre-bending story all whilst utilising your game developer powers in an attempt to save your home.
Developed by Day 4 Night, Bradley the Badger was definitely one of the highlights of the night but what has this got to do with Bloodborne you may ask?
Well, with the game acting as a love letter to gaming, eagle-eyed fans will notice that some of our favourite video game titles made an appearance throughout the announcement trailer.
One of which included The Last of Us as evident by the post-apocalyptic setting with the return of nature and hordes of the undead but another included none other than Bloodborne itself.

Paying Homage to a Modern Day Classic
Or in this case, Badgerborne.
This Bloodborne-inspired level sees Bradley platforming across some Gothic-inspired landscapes and fighting some familiar looking enemies, complete with signature soulslike rolling and dodging.
“At least we got some version of Bloodborne II,” one comment read.
“We've got Badgerborne before Bloodborne,” another joked.
Listen, we have to take any Bloodborne scraps that we can and not only that, but it is nice to see other studios pay homage to the FromSoftware title, especially if Sony refuse to.
Although an official release date for Bradley the Badger has not yet been announced, it is now available to add to your wishlist on Steam so if you are a fan of old-school platforming and a whole lot of video game references, you will not want to miss out on this one.
