Bloodborne meets Far Cry and Uncharted in new adventure game

This looks creepy!

Bloodborne, Far Cry and Uncharted fans will want to check out this upcoming horror adventure game that will surely provide shivers down the spine.

For a studio that has pumped out as many bangers as FromSoftware, it can be difficult to select just one favourite from the talented Japanese studio.

It’s most likely that Elden Ring, Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls will be amongst the first mentioned by fans. However, so too will the brilliant Bloodborne.

Bloodborne may be a decade old at this point, but it’s aged like a fine wine with players never getting enough of its gothic horrors of Yarnham. It’s just a shame that there appears to be no official sign of Bloodborne 2.

Then we have Ubisoft’s Far Cry series. Sure, its open-world formula of ticking off every objective in its sandbox may have grown a little stale over the years, but there’s no denying that its high-octane action is a blast.

As for Uncharted from Naughty Dog, there’s probably no better studio of the PlayStation brand that knows how to deliver cinematic storytelling, combined with refined gameplay and stunning animation, quite like The Last of Us team.

So, when a new game comes along that combines the best of Bloodborne, Far Cry and Uncharted, it will most certainly pique our interest.

One such game is developed by ACE Team, and it’s the H.P. Lovecraft and H.G. Wells-inspired The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu.

“In up to four-player co-op, form a group of explorers searching for treasure,” reads the synopsis of the game on Steam.

“In this cursed jungle, danger is everywhere, and monstrous creatures alter reality. Stay clear-headed and tame the jungle before it devours you.”

At the time of writing, The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu does not have a release date other than a tentative 2025 window. So be sure to add it to your Steam wishlist to be notified of any launch updates.

The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu is also coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
