If you’re a fan of Bloodborne and Hollow Knight, then you’re going to want to check out this game for free ASAP, when it arrives in 2026.

During yesterday’s Xbox Partner Preview showcase event, tons of new games were announced for 2026, which included one of my most highly anticipated horror titles, Reanimal.

Reanimal looks grotesque, intense and as scary as hell. But would you expect anything less from the original creators of the Little Nightmares series, Tarsier Studios? Speaking of which, there’s a Reanimal playable demo that’s free to download now on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

So much horror goodness

Anyway, let’s get back on course. A new gameplay trailer was revealed during the Xbox Partner Preview called Crowsworm, a side-scrolling action-adventure, developed and published by the indie studio, Mongoose Rodeo. If you love Bloodborne and Hollow Knight, then you’re in for a terrifying treat.

“A dark curse has befallen the land of Fearanndal, a once vibrant kingdom. All but the last remnants of humanity have seemingly vanished, as the world is overrun by sightless creatures of nightmare,” reads the synopsis for Crowsworm.

“Explore a large interconnected world as you fight against hordes of monsters that roam the forsaken lands. Uncover secrets and unlock new abilities that enhance your arsenal of deadly weapons and powers. Venture forth to lift the ancient curse and unravel the mystery behind its origins, as you attempt to discover the truth and realise your salvation.”

At the time of writing, Crowsworm does not have a release date, but you might be pleased to know that it will launch day one on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. It will be available on PC and Xbox Series X/S, as well as Xbox Cloud.

Gamers are hyped for Crowsworm!

“Hollow Knight: Silksong with a crow, I'M HYPED GUYS!” declared hypcore, in the Xbox Game Pass reveal trailer.

“Hollow Knight: Silksong, but grittier. I love the trailer, I might want to try it out when it releases,” said marco4103.

“Been waiting for this for over a year! Looks even better than expected, and it comes with a kart racing game called Crow Kart,” exclaimed Megakaz.

You may also be pleased to know that Crowsworm will be released on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.

The best way to be notified of its release date is by following Mongoose Rodeo on social media.

Failing that you can also add Crowsworm to the wishlist of your preferred platform. We're counting down the days that is for sure!
