Another AAA Day 1 game has just dropped on Xbox Game Pass, offering players an Uncharted-style adventure.
Don’t Nod has been quietly toying around with a variety of different genres over the years, with games like Life Is Strange, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, and Jusant all hitting very different types of experiences.
However, it’s primarily best known for its adventure titles, with Lost Records: Bloom & Rage being a recent example of the studio’s output.
Today, it’s also releasing Aphelion, an action-adventure sci-fi game with survival and stealth elements.

Set in the near future, Aphelion follows two astronauts who crash land on a frozen planet and must find a way to survive together while being hunted by a mysterious entity.
Aphelion is now available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass from today, where you can play it across PC, console, cloud streaming, or handheld.

The blurb on Aphelion reads: “By 2060, Earth will be uninhabitable. The discovery of a 9th planet – Persephone – at the edge of the solar system, is humanity's best hope. The European Space Agency is dispatching the Hope-01 scientific mission, consisting of 2 of their accomplished astronauts, Ariane and Thomas. Their mission: to survey the planet and determine whether humanity can prosper anew here.
“Your adventure begins in chaos, as the crash landing of their ship scatters them across the planet, launching them on a desperate quest to find one another.
“Aphelion is a cinematic third-person action-adventure set on the planet Persephone, an uncharted, frozen world. Stranded and isolated, you must survive the truly unknown, find each other, and complete the mission. Traverse stunning alien landscapes, avoid lurking threats, and discover the haunting secrets buried beneath the ice.”
In GAMINGbible's own preview of Aphelion last year, our Kate said "Aphelion has all of the right ingredients for success. It's a simple formula that relies on an eerie fraughtness to keep players pushing ahead in their quest to reunite Ariane and Thomas, and uncover Persephone’s secrets. Yet, despite its simplicity, what I’ve sampled was incredibly engaging."
In addition to this, Xbox Game Pass is also gaining Trepang2 tomorrow.
Originally released in 2023, the game is a throwback to many mid-2000s first-person shooters, similar to titles like F.E.A.R., Half-Life 2, and Bulletstorm.
It’ll be coming to Xbox Game Pass on 29 April, where it’s available for Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC users on Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass.
April has also seen a large number of new titles hit Xbox Game Pass. As well as Aphelion and Trepang2, new games have hit the all-you-can-play service like Little Rocket Lab, Sopa: Tale of the Stolen Potato, Vampire Crawlers: The Turbo Wildcard from Vampire Survivors, and Kiln.
Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era, Sledding Game, and TerraTech Legion also join Xbox Game Pass as the week goes on, with Final Fantasy V Pixel Remaster also arriving on 5 May.
