BioShock 4 Unreal Engine 5 open-world concept leaves fans salivating

Bioshock is heading to Paris

The Bioshock series has taken us from the depths of the ocean to the clouds themselves but an Unreal Engine 5 trailer for Bioshock 4 has taken us somewhere entirely different.

Let’s face it, it may be a while until we see Bioshock 4 despite rumours swirling for the past 10 years. However, one talented creator has given us a look at what could be possible for a future entry in the much-loved shooter series.

Check out the trailer for the Bioshock: The Collection below!

Released by TeaserPlay, the video titled “Imagining New Bioshock” shows us a concept trailer at Bioshock 4 if it was set in a futuristic, steampunk style Paris and it is beautiful.

Created using Unreal Engine 5, the video consists of almost 3-minutes of footage showing our main character, armed with a gun, walking around the streets of Paris as we have never seen it before.

“In the video, we have made a demo based on the Bioshock. It's still unclear which world the next BioShock will take place in, but we've imagined a steampunk world mixed with Paris,” TeaserPlay wrote.

“This demo is to show how this game will be in Unreal Engine 5. Note that this is only a technical demo and is different from a playable game.”

With the Eiffel Tower towering in the background, set against the golden sun and surrounded by hot air balloons and blimps, it is truly a sight to behold and it seems as though viewers agree.

“This honestly shows the potential bioshock can have in new games. They could make it into a new series in various steampunk inspired cities”, one comment read.

Another said: “This was absolutely stunning! Please tell me you plan to explore more of this world.”

Although this is just a concept trailer, it still gives us a glimpse at the possible future of the Bioshock series and I, for one, am excited to see it.
