Airing for the first time back in 1999, Batman Beyond follows an older Batman who, now slowed down by age, recruits high school student Terry to take on the role of the Caped Crusader despite Barbara Gordon’s disapproval.
Airing for three seasons and releasing 52 episodes, Batman Beyond is remembered fondly by fans and so it is all the more heartwarming to see it commemorated in one of the biggest video games in the world.

The Duo Are Making a Stylish Return
According to leaker HYPEX on Twitter, Batman will be joined by the Joker in a Batman Beyond x Fortnite collaboration coming soon.
Featuring their iconic Batman Beyond designs, the pair will join the Epic Games title and will no doubt arrive with skins, cosmetics, and more for fans to enjoy.
"Gotham City's future hope, trained by Bruce Wayne... And the re-emerged leader of the Jokerz, with a lil birdie's secret,” the synopsis for the collaboration reads.
It was not long before fans of both Batman and Fortnite descended onto the comments with their thoughts and it seems as though this collaboration has knocked it out of the park.
“PEAK,” one fan said simply.
“Joker from Beyond in Fortnite?” Another asked. “My wallet is already hurting”.
“Damn, the fights between those two are gonna be personal”, another comment read.
With Fortnite’s collaborations, and therefore skins collection, ever-growing, both Batman and Joker from Batman Beyond will make the perfect addition and will definitely bring some nostalgia to fans of the 90’s animated series.
However, it is unclear when this collaboration will go live on Fortnite and it has yet to be officially announced by Epic Games so for now, take it with a pinch of salt.
