'Assassin's Creed Mirage' And Possible DLC Appear On Ubisoft Store

Earlier this week, we seemingly discovered the title of Ubisoft’s next Assassin’s Creed project. Several prominent leakers revealed that the title is set to be Assassin’s Creed Mirage, with the game set in ninth century Baghdad. It’s likely that we’ll get a full reveal at the upcoming Ubisoft Forward on 10 September but already, another AC leak appears to have slipped out into the world.

Have you checked out the new trailer for Where Winds Meet yet? This definitely looks like one for Assassin’s Creed fans.

This latest leak appears to confirm the title Assassin’s Creed Mirage as two related products popped up on the Ubisoft Store for a brief time before they were removed. Naturally, it was enough time for fans to take notice. Whilst one game was simply titled Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the other was accompanied by The Forty Thieves Quest suggesting that perhaps DLC or a VR entry is also on the horizon.

The cover images have since been taken down but featured an unknown assassin standing in front of a large open doorway with the large shadow of a scimitar-wielding foe bearing down from above. We don’t know who the character is but judging by the clothing, it certainly doesn’t appear to be Ezio or Altair.

The leak was posted by SynthPotato who wrote, “Here’s the first look at #ACMirage everyone. I believe this isn’t out in the public yet. I can’t verify whether it’s 100% legit or not but it definitely seems credible. Curious what [people] think, we have a hooded assassin in the forefront of the series again.” As always, take this with a pinch of salt but Ubisoft’s swift DMCA seems to indicate there’s some truth here.
