Since the series launched in 2007, Assassin’s Creed has become one of Ubisoft’s crown jewels and has remained popular ever since.

Last year, Ubisoft released its latest entry in the Assassin’s Creed series with Mirage which had taken the series back to its 2007 roots with more of an emphasis on stealth as opposed to the more recent RPG-inspired games with huge open worlds. However, it’s looking like the huge-open worlds may return this year with Assassin’s Creed Red, said to feature two playable protagonists.

“Experience the story of Basim, a cunning street thief seeking answers and justice as he navigates the bustling streets of ninth-century Baghdad. Through a mysterious, ancient organisation known as the Hidden Ones, he will become a deadly Master Assassin and change his fate in ways he never could have imagined,” reads the synopsis of Assassin’s Creed Mirage.

In our review of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, we said: “For all of you who fell out of love with the Assassin’s Creed series during the RPG games, I'd urge you to take a leap of faith with Assassin’s Creed Mirage, I don't think you'll be disappointed.”

If you’re yet to play Assassin’s Creed Mirage now is the perfect opportunity but you better act fast to avoid missing out. Ubisoft is giving everyone the chance to play the latest entry in the Assassin’s Creed series for free, no questions asked and you’ll be able to play the new permadeath mode.

As of right now, you can download and play Assassin’s Creed Mirage for free until 30 April 2024. During the trial period, you’ll have full access to the game for a total of two hours and once that trial ends, all your progress will carry over should you decide to purchase the full game.

The Assassin’s Creed Mirage trial will be available on all platforms where the game can be purchased digitally and you won't even need PlayStation Plus or an Xbox Game Pass subscription. Assassin’s Creed Mirage is out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
