An ARC Raiders player uncovers an easy trick to defeat one of the game's most deadly enemies.

Released in October 2026 by the indie folks at Embark Studio, the team behind the destructive free-to-play shooter, The Finals, ARC Raiders was one of the standout games of last year and even picked up a ‘Best Multiplayer’ gong at The Game Awards.

At the time of writing, over seven months have passed since the launch of ARC Raiders, and it might be safe to assume that concurrent players may have taken quite a sizable decline; however, that is not the case.

As of right now, according to SteamDB, ARC Raiders has a 24-hour concurrent player peak of nearly 96,000. Sure, that’s way off its all-time peak of over 481,000, but considering the time that has passed, and this is a multiplayer game only, that’s impressive. Not to mention, these numbers do not include PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

ARC Raiders Player Shows Us How It's Done!

The enemies in the looter shooter, ARC Raiders, are collectively known as ARC, hence the name of the game. Depending on the enemy, they can be quite a gruelling task to bring down for a team, let alone a solo player. However, this player made taking down a Vaporizer easy work.

“Killed the Vaporizer in Stella with this one simple trick!” said Redditor PapaCrinkle, sharing a gameplay clip of how it’s done.

The player jumps on the Vaporizer, plants a Deadline explosive, and ziplines to safety, in a move that no doubt James Bond and Jason Bourne would be proud of. Then the player faceplants the ground, which is probably more Johnny English than 007, but impressive nonetheless.

“Aim for the bushes?” joked NittanyScout, referring to the faceplant in the movie The Other Guys.

“You made that look way too easy!” replied aranauto2.

“Lovely zip catch. 10/10 execution,” praised Thisisaconversation.

“Well, that was dope,” said Matt-Layton, with RogueMallShinobi adding “beautiful”.

What’s the Story, ARC Raiders?

“In ARC Raiders, gameplay flows between the surface ruled by lethal machines and the vibrant underground society of Speranza. Craft, repair, and upgrade your gear in the safety of your own workshop, before venturing topside to scavenge the remnants of a devastated but beautiful world,” reads the synopsis of the game.

“Play solo or in parties of up to three, navigating the constant threat of ARC's machines and the unpredictable choices of fellow survivors. In the end, only you decide what kind of Raider you are - and how far you’ll go to prevail.”

ARC Raiders is out now on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
