The multiplayer market is a tricky one to break into these days. It’s so well populated with longtime mainstays that it can be nigh impossible convincing players to give your new IP a go.
You need look no further than the upcoming Highguard which was terribly received as The Game Awards 2025’s ‘one more thing’ reveal. With Apex Legends and Titanfall talent behind it, it should be the next big multiplayer hit and yet it looks as if the game might not even launch.
The game has been radio silent since its underwhelming reveal, despite being due to launch in a few weeks. One new multiplayer kid on the block though that has defied the odds is ARC Raiders, despite the controversy surrounding its use of AI.
Ever since the game’s launch in late October, it has been well supported by developers with regards to both fixes and new content. Even still, on PC, you can always benefit from more courtesy of the world of modding.

One mod that seems to be pleasing players as of late is the rather wordy ‘Ultimate Engine Tweaks (Anti-Stutters - More Performance - Lower Latency - Better Clarity - Lossless)’.
The name may be long but it outlines what the mod does pretty nicely.
Essentially, it applies small changes to the game’s engine which should make for a much more stable, crisp, and fluid gameplay experience.

Created by NexusMods user P40L0X, this creation has been in the works for over a year; yes, ARC Raiders hasn’t been out for that long but its engine, Unreal Engine 5, has been.
“After over one year of iterative work with 30-plus other UE5 games, I would like to share my definitive, optimised, custom ‘Engine.ini’ for the game,” the creator wrote.
“My goal was to just include as many optimisations as possible (both for CPU/GPU/RAM/SSD) in order to remove most stuttering, improve performance, reduce input latency and improve picture clarity (e.g. by optimising Film Grain, Motion Blur & removing Chromatic Aberration, optimizing DLSS/FSR Upscaling and Anti-Aliasing, reducing ghosting and shimmering) all without any visual loss nor introducing glitches or crashes.”
It’s Free To Download For PC Users
If you’re a PC player, simply head on over to NexusMods where fellow players seem to be happy with this creation.

“Whatever black magic you worked in the INI made my game go back to server slam performance when it was running like dog crap,” wrote one player.
“This ain’t placebo. The gains are real,” added another.
It sounds like it’s well worth a download.
