After a player had their loot stolen by a cheat in ARC Raiders, the developers made things right.

It’s fair to say that ARC Raiders was one of the breakout games of 2025, placing itself firmly alongside the likes of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Dispatch and Silent Hill f.

ARC Raiders is an online, third-person extraction shooter. Players enter a map, hunt for loot, fight other players and hopefully, survive, with as much loot as they can carry.

However, ARC Raiders can be a brutal game if you dare venture into its world alone without a squad to back you up. As this player finds out, when they’re attacked by a squad of toxic players.

In case you didn't know, cheaters are somewhat of a problem in ARC Raiders, an issue that the developers are trying to fix.

One issue that players have been encountering in ARC Raiders is cheating players getting kills while being out of bounds. Embark Studios is trying to tackle this problem, but it doesn't appear to be going away anytime soon.

Developers Return Players' Stolen Loot in ARC Raiders!

“Lost my kit to a cheater just two days ago. Thank you, Embark Studios!” announced Pazatek on Reddit.

“Just got back my Hullcracker 4 and Renegade 4 for the same reason. Love that Embark Studios does this,” declared Huhuu.

While this is great news about the items being returned, it seems that cheaters stealing other players' loot is a fairly common theme and not everyone’s story ends well.

“I lost a kit to wall hackers last week and still haven't gotten it back,” replied GosynTrading, with Many_Guess_4922 adding, “Same here, but it was more than a month ago. Bye-bye gear.”

“I reported so many times, and have not received anything yet. From being killed through walls, health/shotgun glitch, auto aim, all of it,” exclaimed ayePK.

How To Get Your Loot Back in Arc Raiders

Unfortunately, judging by some of the comments, even those who have reported cheaters that have stolen loot, it looks like a bit of a lottery as to whether Embark Studios will get it back for you. The reason being, is that it might be hard to trace everyone and/or there's such a backlog of reports that it's taking the developers ages to get through it all.

To attempt to get your loot back or just report cheats in general, you can report an offending player via the in-game social tab.

You can also report players via the post-match stats screen. Perhaps the best way is to do all of the above, capture screenshots and/or gameplay and submit a ticket to Embark’s Player Support. Good luck!

I suppose it might be difficult to determine if a player has acquired stolen loot, but if that happens to you, it might be a good idea to clip the gameplay if you can, report it to Embark Studios ASAP, and hope for the best.

ARC Raiders is out now on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
