Some real gems!

The old Prime Gaming was a nice way to get some "free" games into our various accounts, and though the service has now become Amazon Luna, it's still a broadly similar proposition each month.

Though Luna does generally lean towards streaming games, the monthly offering is very much the same as it was before, with the games you get each month available to download and keep forever.

As first reported by the good folks over at VGC, there are 14 games on offer in total in December, with some particular highlights that feel rather timely, given some wider additional context.

The headline acts this time around are RPG classics and the games that started it all in Fallout and Fallout 2. Interplay's isometric efforts might not look like the modern Fallout games we all know and love, but they birthed almost every iconic feature in the series, from power armor to the ever nefarious Enclave.

Part of that decision is probably down to the pending arrival of the second season of the Fallout show, which premieres later this month on 17 December. The narrative in that has drawn heavily on these origin stories in its first season, with many more likely to appear as it wears on.

Adding to that tempting pair is Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, a solid entry in the storied action RPG series that is worth playing through if you're a fan of Adam Jensen and the whacky stuff he gets up to.

As is always the case with these monthly freebies, you don't get access to all of them at the same time. Instead, they are released sequentially across various platforms, with the full breakdown for December as follows:

Available now

  • Lego 2K Drive (Epic Games Store)
  • Forgotten Realms: The Archives – Collection One (GOG)
  • GYLT (Amazon Games App)

December 11

  • Forgotten Realms: The Archives – Collection Two (GOG)
  • Christmas Adventure: Candy Storm (Legacy Games)

December 18

  • Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus (GOG)
  • Gunslugs 2 (GOG)
  • Ashworld (GOG)
  • Forgotten Realms: The Archives – Collection Three (GOG)

December 23

  • Fallout (GOG)
  • Fallout 2 (GOG)

December 30

  • Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (Epic Games Store)
  • Dreamscaper (Epic Games Store)
  • Living Legends: The Crystal Tear – Collector’s Edition (Amazon Games App)

In even more exciting news, quite a few of November's offerings are also still available to claim, so act quickly if you want to get your hands on them.
