A leak coming from the Epic Games Store may have just revealed the free titles being made available over the course of the holiday season.
Epic Games regularly gives away free video games for a limited time period, usually one week from every Thursday.
At the moment, it’s Hogwarts Legacy, which was made free last week and can be claimed and added to your account at any point before this Thursday. At the end of the week, there’ll be a new free game, and so on.
Usually over the holiday period, Epic Games Store giveaways go from being released on a weekly basis to daily, so there’ll be loads of free games to add to your account over the break.

These games are a mystery for the time being, as Epic likes to keep their identity a secret until they’re available on the platform.
It can make things a little tricky if you’re planning on buying something, as you might need to wait for the giveaways in case something you wanted to buy becomes available in the free giveaway.
While Epic’s lips remain sealed regarding the upcoming free game giveaways, a new leak suggests the full list of titles that will be free over the holiday break.
The leak comes via Notebook Check, sourcing from “Chinese social media”, and allegedly reveals the free game giveaway plans Epic has for the rest of the month.
Here are the free games included in the leak:
- Jurassic World: Evolution 2 - 18 December
- Desperados 3 - 19 December
- Total War: Warhammer - 20 December
- Tropico 5 - 21 December
- Chicken Police - Paint it Red! - 22 December
- Loop Hero - 23 December
- LEGO Batman - 24 December
- Commander Keen - 25 December
- Farming Simulator 2022 - 26 December
- Slime Rancher 2 - 27 December
- Terraria - 28 December
- Detroit: Become Human - 29 December
- Mortal Kombat 11 - 30 December
- Red Dead Redemption 2 - 31 December
It’s worth taking this list with a pinch of salt, and waiting to see whether or not Epic Games will confirm this itself.
Some of those picks are a little odd, to the say the least. For example, Commander Keen on 25 December seems like a bit of a weird choice, considering it's a game from 1990.
And Farming Simulator 2022 and Mortal Kombat 11 also seem a bit rogue, with them both having sequels which may be a bit more enticing.
We’ll know for sure by Thursday when the next mystery game is revealed. If it ends up being Jurassic World: Evolution 2, then this leak has a leg to stand on.
But even if that ends up being correct, it doesn’t necessarily mean the rest of the games will also be correct.
