Xbox gamers can save nearly £200 if you tweak one easy setting

That is quite the saving

There is no denying that the Xbox Game Pass service does save us quite a bit of money each year.

With the service regularly offering day one releases as well as a library of games to download at no extra cost, it can be a much-needed subscription for Xbox users.

However, it is also an expense we have to get the wallets out for and with Microsoft regularly adjusting the price of the service, it is no wonder many are struggling.

That is why, according to one subscriber, there is a way to save almost £200 if you use the Xbox Game Pass.

The tip comes courtesy of a thread over on r/xbox after one player expressed their anger at Game Pass Ultimate now only being a monthly service instead of being able to pay annually.

“I am finally nearing the end of my 3 years of GP Ultimate,” they wrote.

“I was looking to renew at a yearly price but all I see is an option to renew at monthly for $16.99.

Is that seriously the only way to get Game Pass Ultimate now?”

However, a fellow user came to the rescue and offered a way to subscribe in the cheapest way possible.

They recommend letting the Ultimate subscription run out so that you are not subscribed to any plan.

Then, stack up to 3 years of Game Pass Core of Xbox Live Gold.

Next pay for one month of Ultimate and that will convert all of your stacked Core/Gold to the Ultimate subscription at a 3:2 ratio.

If UK users were to apply this method, they could find themselves saving £177.80 over the course of 25 months.

I think you will agree that is quite the handy trick and will save you quite a bit of money so it is worth checking out if you are an Xbox Game Pass subscriber.
