Warzone 2.0 will soon add popular Metal Gear Solid feature

Warzone 2.0 will soon add popular Metal Gear Solid feature

Warzone 2.0 could soon be adding a version of Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain's Fulton Balloon.

Warzone 2.0 may not be perfect, but it is providing us with heaps of entertainment. Players are hailing the “incredible” proximity chat feature which led to an epic zero kill win for one player who roleplayed as an Uber driver. It’s certainly gone down better than the Escape From Tarkov-inspired DMZ mode which some players are paying to avoid. Ouch.

One of the best things about Warzone 2.0 so far has actually been its glitches. Hear me out. One recent exploit allowed players to reach max weapon XP in a single match, although that’s now been patched. There is a new infinite money glitch though which, at the time of writing, still works so if you’re looking to max out on cash in seconds, we’ve got you covered. In other Warzone 2.0 news, it appears as if a popular Metal Gear Solid feature will soon hit the game.

Take a look at some brand new MWII gameplay below.

I’ll get the bad news out of the way first. The new feature is reportedly set to be a part of the DMZ mode but hey, it could improve it. If you’re yet to try out DMZ, it’s essentially a tougher version of Al-Mazrah. As reported by Dexerto, players have uncovered something that bears a stark resemblance to a popular item used in Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain.

Reddit user Top_Scientist4578 pointed out that players will soon be able to get their hands on an Extraction Balloon gear item which sounds a lot like Metal Gear Solid’s Fulton Balloon. Available at Al-Mazrah Buy Stations, the Extraction Balloon will reportedly cost $2,000 of in-game currency. If you’ve played The Phantom Pain, you’ll know that the Fulton Balloon allows players to extract equipment and NPCs, sending them back to base.

Warzone 2.0’s Extraction Balloon doesn’t yet detail exactly what it does but it’s not a stretch to presume that it could be along the same lines. Some have theorised that it could also be an updated version of Plunder which is yet to appear in Warzone 2.0. Either way, something useful is coming.
