Ezra Miller has found themselves making quite a few headlines in the past few months, and never for the right reasons.

The actor, best known for their role as The Flash in the DC Universe, as well as Credence Barebone in the Fantastic Beasts film series, was arrested back in March following an altercation in a bar in Hawaii, and has also been accused of choking a woman in Iceland, and grooming a minor (who is currently 18) since they were 12 years old.

As reported by ComicBook, Warner Bros. haven’t yet revealed their plans for dealing with the situation going forward, but Deadline have claimed that the studio will probably be dropping Miller from all DC projects after 2023’s The Flash.

“There is no winning in this for Warner Bros,” an insider source told Deadline. “This is an inherited problem for Zaslav. The hope is that the scandal will remain at a low level before the movie is released, and hope for the best to turn out.”

Reportedly, Deadline’s sources claim that even if no more allegations are brought to light, the studio is unlikely to keep Miller as the Flash in future DC films, which most likely means a recast. What isn’t known at this point is what Warner Bros. will do with The Flash itself - whether that’s to bring it solely to streaming services rather than the cinema, or hold back on the amount of publicity that the film gets.

Last week, Miller deleted their Instagram account, going off-grid amidst the allegations. Before doing so, however, they apparently shared a number of images, including quotes saying “I am shielded from negative people and their ill intent” and “you cannot touch me. I am in another universe”. An Instagram official confirmed that the actor’s account had been deleted, but didn’t comment further.
