One of the best video games from 2022 is getting a massive upgrade today, and it completely changes how you play it.
Vampire Survivors originally launched back in 2022, and it ended up being one of the most popular indie games of the year.
There’s something about the fact it’s got a very simple premise and gameplay loop, and when you combine it with the steady stream of rewards and low price, you’ve got a banger on your hands.
Announced during the November VR Games Showcase, Vampire Survivors developer Poncle has now revealed that Vampire Survivors VR is launching today and will be coming to Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S.
Vampire Survivors VR will shake-up the smash indie hit
From what we’ve seen so far, the game is essentially exactly as it sounds. It’s a total conversion of the original Vampire Survivors game for you to play in virtual reality using your Meta Quest headset.

Check out the trailer for the game below, which was part of the VR Games Showcase lineup.
The original 2D environments and character sprites have been converted to 3D, and allows you to resize the board as well as use the various motion controls of your Quest controllers to manipulate various aspects of the game.

It’s available to play either seated or standing, and has various comfort and accessibility options should you need them in order to play the game with ease.
Vampire Survivors VR includes all of the content from the original release, plus the Tides of the Foscari and Legacy of the Moonspell expansions. However, the crossover DLC doesn’t appear to be present here, such as the Ode to Castlevania or Ante Chamber releases.
Although Poncle developed the original version of Vampire Survivors, development of the VR port is co-handled by Middlesbrough-based developer Radical Forge.
Radical Forge has earned co-development credits on popular games such as Gang Beasts, Sea of Thieves, Golf With Friends, and the DLC for Zombie Army 4: Dead War.

Vampire Survivors VR launches today, 13 November 2025, for Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S. It costs £7.99 / $9.99 / €9.99, though your local pricing may differ.
As for whether the game could come to other platforms such as SteamVR or PlayStation VR2, it’s looking unlikely right now due to the fact that Meta worked with Poncle and Radical Forge on the VR conversion. But never say never, I guess.
