The White House is not happy with a recent episode of South Park that roasts President Donald Trump.
Created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, South Park has been pushing the boundaries of edgy humour in the animated TV series since its inception in 1997.
I’ve been a South Park fan since the very beginning, and many times have I wondered to myself, “how do they get away with that?”. I suppose the biggest factor in why the show gets away with what it does is that nobody is safe.
It doesn't matter what your skin colour is, your religious or political beliefs, disabilities, or what you look like. No one is safe from South Park humour; it does not discriminate, and President Donald Trump is no exception.

The animated series has been taking the mick out of President Donald Trump for years, mostly through the character Mr. Garrison, a teacher at South Park Elementary School.
However, the White House has seemingly taken exception with a recent episode more than most. The first episode of season 27, ‘Sermon on the Mount’.
In this episode, Donald Trump is the Devil’s lover, who is perhaps best known for getting it on with former Iraqi dictator, Saddam Hussan, but this time, it’s the US President who has been getting it on with the ruler of Hell.
As reported by Rolling Stone, the episode also pokes fun at President Donald Trump’s “teeny tiny” and the White House has responded.

“The Left’s hypocrisy truly has no end. For years, they have come after South Park for what they labelled as ‘offensive’ [sic] content, but suddenly they are praising the show,” said White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers in a statement.
“Just like the creators of South Park, the Left has no authentic or original content, which is why their popularity continues to hit record lows. This show hasn’t been relevant for over 20 years and is hanging on by a thread with uninspired ideas in a desperate attempt for attention.
“President Trump has delivered on more promises in just six months than any other president in our country’s history, and no fourth-rate show can derail President Trump’s hot streak.”
If I know the South Park show as well as I do, it feels like all the White House is going to do is poke the bear that is Trey Parker and Matt Stone.

So don’t be surprised if the animated show goes even harder on the US President in upcoming episodes.
