As much as we’re excited for Stranger Things season five, this sneak peek reveals a glaring issue.
To say that we’ve been on an emotional rollercoaster ride with Stranger Things ever since it made its debut on Netflix in 2016 would be an understatement. In fact, as a viewer, we’ve probably been through all the emotions. Fear, panic, love, heartache, compassion, the lot.
However, we’ll no doubt feel a wave of emotions like never before as we prepare to say goodbye to some of our favourite characters of the show, namely Eleven, Steve Harrington, Max Mayfield, Lucas Sinclair, Nancy Wheeler, Jim Hopper, and so forth.
Stranger Things' Final Season is Days Away
I know, big names have been missed off that list above, but I can’t name them all; otherwise, this article would turn into a listicle. That being said, I have purposely left out Mike Wheeler and Will Byers. Mike can be a bit of a douche, and Will is whiny, but I digress.
Anyway, let’s get back on track. In the aforementioned sneak peek, we see Eleven training and refining her combat skills for the showdown with the big bad of Stranger Things, Vecna.

However, this sneak peek should be great, but it’s one hell of a strain on my eyes. Why, you ask? Because of all the camera cuts and angle changes. It kinda reminds me of the Kevin Dunn era in WWE. If you know, you know.
My Eyes, MY EYES!
“More cuts don’t mean ‘bad’, but when you make the viewer's eyes go left/right/left/recenter, on top of using multiple cuts on a single action - like running up the ladder, it makes the scene feel less impactful and floaty,” tweeted photographer and artist Chris Vasquez.
The tweet was of a behind-the-scenes clip from the movie Mad Max: Fury Road, starring Tom Hardy and directed by George Miller.
In the clip, Miller explained the importance of having a centrally focused camera, even during an action-packed scene.
Honestly, after watching that Stranger Things clip a few times over for research, it began to strain my eyes.
Thankfully, when Stranger Things season five does arrive, I’ll not need to watch that scene repeatedly in quick succession.
Season five will consist of eight (longer) episodes to be released in three parts. Part one will be released on 26 November.
Part two on 25 December, and finally, part three on 31 December 2025.
