Star Wars fans united over Yoda solo series: 'no thanks'

We'll pass on this one

Star Wars fans know where they stand on a Yoda spin-off/prequel series, and it’s pretty obvious as to why.

Yoda is just far too interesting as he is without doing a deep-dive into his backstory and lore; we don’t need a spin-off series for him.

Yoda first appeared in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back.

He’s been a prominent Star Wars character for many, many years yet we know hardly anything about Yoda, and honestly, that’s a huge part of his charm.

In The Empire Strikes Back, his small stature caught many audiences off-guard, especially when it was revealed he was the legendary Jedi Master Luke was searching for.

We knew from the same film how strong he was in the force but it was Star Wars Episode II: Attack Of The Clones where his true power was shown off, as he turned into a living beyblade in an epic lightsaber fight with Count Dooku.

Now you could, in theory, explore more of his past and where all that hidden power comes from in a prequel series but fans want nothing of the sort.

In a Reddit thread discussing the very topic, fans were asked if they’d like to see a spin-off made sometime down the line, and they responded with a resounding “no thank you”.

“I hope not. Leave some mystique around one iconic character at least jeez,” said one commenter and another replied, “Please no. I’m good with never seeing Yoda in another movie or show ever again.”

Personally, I feel the same way, it’s much better having Yoda remain this mythical figure that no one truly understands but is happy to have around regardless. The same can be said for Grogu too.
