Star Wars fans are torn over the prospect of a soft reboot to erase the sequel trilogy, and I have to say, it wouldn't be the worst thing.
I’ve been a fan of Star Wars since I was a child, but it hasn’t always been sunshine and roses when I think about my relationship with the galaxy, far, far away.
Star Wars fans have had their fair share of ups and downs. From the heights of Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope and Disney Plus series such as Andor, to the lows of Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones.

When the sequel trilogy arrived in 2015 with Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, fans of the series were over the moon with such a triumphant return. Then, in 2019, Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker happened.
So it begs the question: Should the Star Wars movie franchise undergo a soft reboot following the sequel trilogy? That's a question that was asked by Redditor asapsharkyfrfr.

“No,” replied the blunt EndlessTheorys_19.
“If it's for a new try at sequels, I might be down but if they ever try to screw with the originals I will hunt them down and.... well, you know,” exclaimed BloodDK22.
“I'll pretend I didn't hear that,” said Rj713.
“I think they should be done with trilogies, personally. Focus on telling good stories,” explained OffensivePanda69. “If there are characters who have other stories untold from those original stories, move on. Tell a good story each time.”

I’d be surprised if the folks at Disney and Lucasfilm decided to soft reboot the Star Wars movies following the sequel trilogy, but in this day and age, you never know.
You can watch the entire Star Wars saga right now on Disney Plus.
