Star Wars fans are overjoyed following a heartwarming reunion with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker.

“You were the chosen one!”, the famous and heartwrenching line read by Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi to Hayden Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith.

As those words were yelled by Obi-Wan Kenobi, you could see the pain on his face with the realisation that Anakin had nothing but hatred in his heart, well and truly corrupted by the dark side of the Force after being cruelly manipulated by Darth Sidious.

During the release of the Star Wars prequel trilogy from 1999 to 2005, there wasn't a lot of love for the movies, especially when it came to Hayden Christensen’s performance, often labelled as one-toned.

Sure, those movies weren't all great, but from the feeling I had at the time, I felt that Hayden Christensen was very much a scapegoat for some Star Wars fans who believed that the prequel trilogy fell below par of the original trilogy.

However, over time, it seems that many have realised that the prequel trilogy wasn't all bad, and neither were Hayden Christensen’s performances. In fact, I’d say that most fans have embraced the actor, especially following his role in the Disney Plus series, Ahsoka.

Recently, as brought to our attention by the Twitter account Star Wars Holocron (via NexusPointNews), Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen embraced each other at Fan Expo in Boston, USA, over the weekend.

“When will we have season two of Obi-Wan Kenobi?” asked AjthreetJ.

“Master and Padwan, reunited and it feels so good,” declared Kokomatsu17.

“It was so fun to see them together!” replied ftd318, sharing a video recording captured in the crowd of the duo sharing a hug on stage.

It’s always nice to see Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen reunite, even if it is the 76th time in the last week.

You can watch the entire Star Wars saga right now on Disney Plus.
