Star Wars looking to Henry Cavill for new role, says insider

Star Wars looking to Henry Cavill for new role, says insider

That would be super, man

Apparently, Henry Cavill has to star in every geeky franchise from now on. I don’t make the rules, guys, but he’s already worked with DC, Marvel, and become Geralt for The Witcher.

Next on the list is Star Wars, according to a new leak. The leak reports that Cavill met with Lucasfilm recently to discuss an upcoming role.

Rey will be coming back to Star Wars in a bid to rebuild the Jedi Order

Known ‘scooper’ My Time to Shine, Hello, says that Cavill could have lined up a potential role in the Star Wars universe.

Of course, it’s unknown whether a deal was reached, or which project he would be attached to, as Lucasfilm currently has several in the pipeline.

If you’ve got a popular name like Henry Cavill, it’s likely he’ll play a lead role, so I’d be surprised if he were to appear in Lando, which Donald Glover is co-writing.

The actor could star in Dave Filoni’s crossover film which plans to bring together characters from recent Star Wars TV shows.

Or there’s the James Mangold project that focuses on the origins of The Force.

It might very well be as part of the newly announced trilogy coming from Simon Kinberg who co-created Star Wars Rebels.

But then what if it’s the Rey-centred film that plots the rebuilding of the Jedi Order fifteen years after the events of the sequel trilogy?

Cavill certainly has his pick of projects unless Lucasfilm has a very particular role in mind.

I do love Cavill and his many geeky roles and if this rumour turns out to be true, I hope he’s playing a Sith lord.

The actor always comes off as a lovable dude, so I want him to be a bastard in something.

Here’s hoping we have some confirmation of this rumour in the near future as Star Wars starts to build up the hype of returning to cinema screens.
