Listen, I think ‘Conformity Gate’ is utter nonsense. But I am confident that another Stranger Things project has been teased right under our noses.
It’s common knowledge that this isn’t the end of the road for Stranger Things. The animated Tales From ‘85 is on the way, featuring an untold adventure set between Season 2 and Season 3 of the main series.
Beyond that, there’s also a live-action spin-off which is due to take us to a new decade, with new characters in a new location.
There’s the upcoming ‘One Last Adventure’ documentary, charting the making of Season 5, plus you can go see the fantastic The First Shadow on London’s West End or New York’s Broadway. I can highly recommend it.

The Duffer Brothers are also cooking up something else though, as per a new interview with Entertainment Weekly.
“Right now, everything you said is all we have planned... Well, there's one other thing I can't talk about, so I just sort of lied to you, that is also really cool. But the live-action spinoff is what the main focus is right now,” Matt Duffer said on the future of the franchise.
What if I told you that I’m convinced that the “one other thing” is a choose-your-own-adventure video game that may have already been announced?

Who Recalls That Don’t Nod Announcement?
Back in October, video game developer Don’t Nod was revealed to have signed a development deal with Netflix for 'the creation of a new narrative video game based on a major IP'.
Don’t Nod’s Montreal studio is handling development and the game will, of course, be published by Netflix.
Precisely nothing has been said since, but I’ve had an inkling for a while that this might pertain to Stranger Things.
You see, the show is closely linked to Dungeons & Dragons, the ultimate choose-your-own-adventure tabletop experience, and Don’t Nod is arguably the very best developer when it comes to choose-your-own-adventure video games having created Life is Strange.

A partnership between that particular video game studio and Netflix IP immediately struck me as a match made in heaven back in October.
Now that the Duffers have confirmed there’s another secret project in the works they can’t say anything about, it’s only added fuel to the fire that I’ve already created.
I recently had a discussion where somebody said, “Why hasn’t a Stranger Things video game been created?”, and if you ask me, the only reasonable answer is that one is already in development.
As for what this hypothetical game could look like, I don’t know. Would it focus on the characters we know and love, allowing us to influence how Eleven’s story ends? Would it take us to pastures new?
Of course, this is all speculative. Perhaps Don’t Nod is creating a narrative game based off another major Netflix IP, but I can’t seem to land on one that makes sense.
Don’t Nod’s games aren’t particularly known for their action, so I can’t see it being something like Squid Game where players would surely want to attempt games.
There’s Bridgerton, but I can’t see it having video game appeal.
Wednesday is a possibility and would perhaps be my runner-up for the most likely IP but I still lean towards Stranger Things.
I’m a big fan of both Don’t Nod and Stranger Things so if this game is confirmed to be real, it’ll be an enormous win.
When that day comes, just know I’ll be sharing this article saying, 'I told you so'.
