Star Wars viewers are in-love with what could very well be the best film we’ve seen in ages, better than Disney’s sequels anyway.
To say Disney’s sequel trilogy was a disappointment is a bit of an understatement as despite some redeeming qualities here and there, the overall story was weak and its interesting characters were butchered too soon.
Since Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise Of Skywalker, the fans have been longing for something new, and the future does seem bright with The Mandalorian And Grogu and Star Wars: Starfighter.
Those films aside though, fans have also been hard at work on their own creations, leading us to Star Wars: New Jedi Order, an animated fan film.

Set just a few years after Star Wars Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi, the fan project follows the popular novel series New Jedi Order, specifically the first book in the series Vector Prime. In it, Luke Skywalker and his friends rebuild the Jedi Order and fight to protect the peace they’ve cultivated in the galaxy.
The animation was shared by its director, Jar Jar Jargon, who recently dropped a brief trailer complete with voiceover from a TV advert for Vector Prime back when it was first published.
Speaking about the project in the video’s description, Jar Jar Jargon said, “Everything you see here has been hand-animated (NO AI!!!). If you have followed my channel at all, you would know that I consistently campaign for Lucasfilm animating the legends timeline in 2D. For a fraction of the cost of even The Clone Wars, Lucasfilm could deliver the story of the Skywalker's and Solo's from the EU to our screens."
It’s true fans have been begging Disney to reintroduce some of the forgotten Legends material for quite some time.

While a few bits of Legends lore has found a home in Disney’s canon, much of it is lost to the archives.
It’s baffling to think Disney has a winner on its hands by giving us adaptations of stories we’ve never seen on the big screen before, but choose to just not use them.
That said, it seems like Disney wants to move away from what’s come before entirely with its future plans for the series, telling bold new stories set in the galaxy far, far away that only loosely connect to the story of the Skywalker’s and the battle between the Jedi and Sith.
