WandaVision sequel series gets surprise teaser from MCU boss

The future bright...or dark

The future of the WandaVision sequel Agatha All Along is seemingly bright, as we might be getting a second season…

Agatha All Along continued the story of WandaVision by bringing back Agatha Harkness, as well as a few other characters, for another spell-binding adventure.

It had all the tone and humour you’d expect from talented actors like Kathryn Hahn and Aubrey Plaza, as well as important implications for the future of the MCU.

The supernatural side of super heroes is being explored more and more so it stands to reason that we’ll see more magic and mayhem as the film franchise progresses.

Weighing in on this was the showrunner Jac Schaeffer, who recently commented on potential avenues the Witches Road could lead to next.

The relationship between Agatha and Rio is one such possibility, as Schaeffer said a lot of backstory between the two characters was cut in order to keep only what was felt as “vital to this chapter."

That said fans adored the relationship between the two and are eager to see more, something Schaeffer is seemingly on board with.

The showrunner said “I didn't anticipate that the shippers would be so fervent, that there would be... And I feel foolish for not... you never know how anything is going to land and you never know if people are going to care and the amount that people care is staggering to me. It's my hope that in the MCU, there's more unpacking of the Agatha and Rio backstory."

While this doesn’t confirm a second season it at least gives us an idea of what it could be about if it's on the cards.

Even if the show doesn’t get renewed though, Agatha and Rio are seemingly far too important to rule out of future projects, so expect to see more of them later down the line.
