Spider-Man 4 villain teaser leaves fans furious

Spider-Man 4 villain teaser leaves fans furious

This is a far reach

There’s a rumour going around that the villain for Spider-Man 4 is going to be Knull, who was recently seen in the trailer for Venom: The Last Dance.

When I read the rumour on Reddit, I wasn’t sure what to think. Sure, Spider-Man has taken down some big threats, but Knull? That seems like a step too far for the webhead.

The rumour has circulated for a while, but after seeing Knull in the second trailer for the new Venom film, it could indeed be a reality.

The issue here is that Knull is a Thanos-level bad guy. We’re talking a proper ‘big bad’ and bringing the villain in at this point seems a bit too off-the-wall, even for Marvel.

“I’m hearing that the potential villain for this film would be Knull, who is seeking to enshroud the entire multiverse in his darkness following its discovery.” said the author on CosmicCircus.

While some fans can see this working out, others aren’t so sure.

Xekshek33 said, “Look, I'd rather it be a daredevil team up and be super street level.”

Meanwhile, another Redditor says, “I don't believe it at all. How is Spider-Man going to beat Knull? How is Knull going to enter the battleworld? Previously, Knull was said to be Sony's Thanos, but now he is a character that can be defeated by Spider-Man?”

Personally, I want to see less of a cosmic, ‘big bad’ threat for Spider-Man 4. After all, we need to see where Peter Parker ends up after his world fell apart in the third film.

It would be great to see Spidey build up to something this big, rather than be thrown at huge threats constantly.

However, we may be on the way to seeing the symbiote turn up soon given that Secret Wars gave us the original appearance of the black suit, and Avengers: Secret Wars will usher in new stories.

Perhaps Knull will be slowly set up like Thanos was originally, making for an overbearing presence.
