Yesterday saw Marvel Studios release the first ever trailer for its upcoming animated television show Marvel Zombies and viewers were quick to notice the return of one beloved character.

From the studio behind What If…? and Eyes of Wakanda, Marvel Zombies is the next animated television show to come from Marvel Studios and yesterday saw fans get their first glimpse of the undead action thanks to a brand-new trailer.

The story itself follows some of our favourite superheroes and villains become infected with a zombie plague in an alternate universe and the trailer showcased heroes such as Spider-Man and Blade team-up to kill the undead for good.

In this upcoming R-rated show, viewers can expect a whole lot of gore and action as we see our favourite characters do some pretty gnarly stuff.

For example, we see Spider-Man decapitating zombie hordes, Moon Knight’s Blade variant taking down Ghost and even the appearance of an undead Namor.

However, it was one character that stood out most as it has been a long time since we last saw her appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Alongside Ant-Man, Yelena Belova, Red Guardian, Valkyrie, Shang Chi, Kate Bishop, John Walker, Jimmy Woo, Ms. Marvel, Ironheart, and more, fans were also quick to glimpse none other than Scarlet Witch herself as Elizabeth Olsen returns to the role.

As you can imagine, this caused quite some hype and fans took to social media to share their thoughts on Wanda’s return.

“MOTHER OF THE MCU,” one comment read.

Another seemingly agreed, adding, “This show is going to be amazing with Wanda.”

“Wanda vs. the undead? That’s a wrap,” user Zairo shared.

It is unclear how much of a role Wanda will play in the new show but her presence alone is enough to make viewers tune in.

Marvel Zombies will be released on Disney+ on 24 September 2025 and will consist of just four episodes.
