Marvel Studios has confirmed that the upcoming show VisionQuest will be the conclusion of the WandaVision trilogy.

Not only that but one key character has officially been recast.

Revealed at New York Comic Con 2025, Scottish actor Ruaridh Mollica will be the next one to take on the role of MCU's Tommy Maximoff, the son of Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch) and Vision.

Tommy appeared for the first time in WandaVision and was played by Julian Hilliard and over the years, many fans have believed that a recasting was in the works.

Well, it seems as though they were correct as Mollica will now be stepping into the role of our next Young Avenger who, after inheriting his uncle Pietro Maximoff/Quicksilver’s abilities, has the codename “Speed.”

Mollica will be the leading actor of Marvel’s upcoming VisionQuest and it has even been revealed that he will be joined by some other iconic characters.

This includes Ultron, F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., J.A.R.V.I.S. (played by returning Agent Carter star James D'Arcy) and DUM-E will appear, albeit in human form.

It was MCU’s Paul Bettany himself that made the announcement during NYCC and alongside a teaser trailer of the show, he also had the following to say:

"[The Hex] Vision gave [White] Vision all of his memories, including the memories from the Hex, but White Vision is having difficulty connecting to them.

White Vision’s journey is his attempt to connect to those memories and who he was."

We may not get to see the teaser trailer just yet but we can see the show’s official logo here and it definitely keeps in theme with WandaVision and Agatha All Along whose events have set up this brand-new show.

VisionQuest is expected to be both an action-filled and emotional entry in the MCU with Tommy having to come to terms with both his powers and the disappearance of his mother Wanda.

As one-half of the duo Wiccan and Speed alongside his twin brother, it seems as though Tommy’s story is only just beginning.

VisionQuest is expected to air on Disney some time in 2026, although an exact premiere date has not yet been confirmed.

Now all we can do is hope that the trilogy wraps up perfectly and gives us fond memories of WandaVision and Agatha All Along that came before it and who knows? Maybe Billy and Tommy's previous actor will make a return...
