The witch is back!

If there’s one thing that many Marvel fans can agree on, it’s that Elizabeth Olsen is a superb part of the MCU, embodying a character millions love.

Scarlet Witch is in integral part of the MCU due to her monumental power and her absence, since her supposed death, is felt by fans.

You can see a sneak peek of Marvel Zombies in the 2025 sizzle reel for Disney Plus

However, it appears she will be making a return in the upcoming Marvel Zombies, which carries on the theme of undead heroes from the first season of What If…?

The show is scheduled to be four episodes, demanded by Kevin Feige after he saw the episode of What If…? and the surrounding excitement over the ludicrous plot.

It’s been confirmed that Elizabeth Olsen will reprise her role as Scarlet Witch, alongside many other returning actors such as David Harbour, Simu Liu, Florence Pugh, and Hailee Steinfeld.

Not set to debut until 3 October 2025, Marvel Zombies will be rated TV-MA for mature audiences, which will give the creative team more freedom with the action.

Speaking previously on the show’s rating, showrunner Bryan Andrews said, “we don’t have to pull punches.”

Andrews continued. “We can be a little bit more hardcore. We go for the throat — no pun intended. It’s pretty wild, pretty out there.”

Billed as a “mini-movie event” the show will see Scarlet Witch at full power, presumably in her zombie form, which is bas news for other heroes and villains in the MCU.

Marvel is keeping other details under wraps at the moment, but we’ll presumably see a trailer in the coming months to hint at possible clashes between well-loved characters.

2025 is set to be a big year for Marvel on Disney+ with Eyes of Wakanda also debuting this year. Plus, we’ve got the new season of Daredevil and Wonder Man scheduled to make his debut.
