Portrayed by the late great Chadwick Boseman, T’Challa first burst onto our screens in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War.
However, following the death of Boseman in August 2020, the title of Black Panther was passed down to T’Challa’s sister Shuri and his son, T’Challa II in 2022’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
For many of us, Boseman will be the one true Black Panther but the story of the Wakandan hero will live on and that is why he recently appeared in a brand-new animated series.
Airing on Disney+ in collaboration with Marvel Studios, Iron Man and His Awesome Friends is a brand-new animated television show which, as you can probably guess, centers around a much younger Tony Stark who runs into some other familiar faces, albeit in a much smaller form.

Marketed for preschool children, the television show consists of a collection of shorts and in episode eight, fans get to meet a very small version of T’Challa who is voiced by Cruz Flauteau.
In the episode, Black Panther and Tony Stark are seen conversing with the former wearing a jacket which looks quite reminiscent of his MCU suit.
Throughout the episode, the pair will also suit up and it is here that we see a very familiar looking design.
Iron Man and His Awesome Friends comes from the same creative team as Spidey and His Amazing Friends and although it is not considered canon within the MCU, it is still an exciting way to introduce the younger generation to the world.

As of right now, only some shorts have been released for Meet Iron Man and His Awesome Friends which merely give us a tease of what we can expect.
However, the full series, titled Iron Man and His Awesome Friends, is expected to air on Disney+ in August so we can definitely expect to see much more of our new Black Panther.
