MCU's new Avengers lineup accidentally shown early in new teaser

A new teaser has seemingly revealed Marvel’s plans for the next phase in the MCU.

With Avengers: Secret Wars hinting that the end of the MCU as we know it is on its way, change is an inevitability fans need to get used to.

One of the alterations that’s already started to happen is the Avengers lineup.

Even though there’s many reasons why the Avengers need to be left behind moving forwards, it looks unlikely that Marvel will take such an approach.

Not only have a younger generation of the group been teased in Agatha All Along, but the Disney Treasure has introduced the Young Avengers as part of its dining experience.

Given the fact that this is an Avengers Campus change, you may believe it unimportant – it’s not canonical to the MCU, right?

Well, it turns out it isn’t that cut and dry.

While it isn’t part of the Sacred Timeline, as per Avengers Campus’ story lead Jillian Pagan, it’s still connected to the MCU.

Pagan told ComicBook, “The lovely thing about the comic books and the films is that between them we’ve seen a million different versions of the multiverse, a million different versions of these characters.”

“So that’s how we like to look at our activation that we have, if you think about when [the Avengers] went back to 2012 and Endgame, they had a shared history. The two timelines had a shared history up until that point.”

This could be a red herring that comes to naught, but it seems highly unlikely with Phase 6 gearing up to throw the MCU rulebook away, so to speak.

With Marvel bringing back two beloved heroes to the MCU, anything is possible.

We’re intrigued to see whether this new Avengers lineup eventually becomes canon for the cinematic part of the franchise, or whether it’ll remain nothing more than a thrilling dining experience.
