MCU to debut new Avengers team in new series, says insider

There's a new team of heroes in town. Maybe.

Rumours are circulating that a new Avengers team is set to make its debut in an upcoming series.

We’ve been privy to numerous replacement Avengers of late, some of which are welcomed by fans, and others that have been roasted.

The jury’s still out on whether Marvel fans will welcome these new MCU Avengers; however, it’s not certain that this news is even official.

Allow us to explain.

Disney Plus has plans for a Vision series, which, as the name suggests, will focus on Paul Bettany’s Vision.

The untitled TV series is still in its infancy, yet an insider has suggested that a new set of Avengers could be appearing over the course of the show.

Daniel Richtman purportedly said, “I hear this show will have elements from the ‘West [Coast] Avengers’ run and might even have members of that team in the series,” according to The Direct.

Even if that's eventually proven to be true, this isn’t to say that familiar characters won’t make the cut.

As per the comics, Hawkeye is a member of the West Coast Avengers, as are Mockingbird, Tigra, War Machine, and Wonder Man.

Why would they feature in a Vision focused narrative? Well, White Vision becomes a part of the West Coast Avengers.

Currently, there's no confirmation from Marvel that this is the direction the MCU will go in.

That being said, given the previous events of MCU plots including Vision, introducing the West Coast Avengers would slot in nicely.

Anything can happen, though, as Spider-Man fans are discovering after learning that Spider-Man 4 is powering ahead without a “key member” of the ‘Home trilogy’.

Seeing as you’ve just been hit with bad news, it won’t feel quite so gutting when we inform you that we’ve been denied a stellar Doctor Doom casting from Marvel.

Although many are pleased to see Robert Downey Jr back in the MCU, few will deny that this is heartbreaking news.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed that our hopes for this Vision series aren't snuffed out in a similar fashion.
