Marvel fans are divided over the potential recast of Deadpool in the MCU following Avengers: Secret Wars.
Actors aim to give the best performance possible when it comes to bringing a character to life, whether it’s on a stage, in a video game or for a TV and film production. However, when a role is performed so well, the actor could be in danger of being typecast.
It must be a great feeling when fans warm to an actor's performance, but I’m sure that most actors would like to be known for more than a singular role, and no doubt, Ryan Reynolds is no exception to that sentiment.

Just look at Daniel Radcliffe, for example, after landing roles in some fantastically quirky movies recently, many fans are seemingly now aware that the talented actor has a ton of range and can play more than just Harry Potter.
What’s more, some fans believe that Daniel Radcliffe could be the perfect Wolverine to replace Hugh Jackman when the Aussie actor is ready to hang up his Adamantium claws.

At some point, it will be time for Ryan Reynolds to call it a day as Marvel’s Deadpool, but the problem is, the actor plays the role of a merc with a mouth so perfectly, many see that role as only belonging to the charismatic Canadian actor.
“Would you like a Deadpool recast after Avengers: Secret Wars, or do you think the character's success in cinema is tied to Reynolds?” asked Redditor WhoKnowsTheDay.

“He marketed Deadpool and pushed to get particular characters and storylines into the MCU. Keep him, he’s earned it,” replied Right-Team.
“If we are being real, 80% of success is definitely tied to Reynolds’ Deadpool; before him, he was a gimmick character,” claimed Solid-Move-1411. “The casual audience didn't even know he existed.”
“Only if it's chosen in a movie about Deadpool choosing a new Deadpool,” suggested blackbeltmessiah, which sounds perfect.
Ryan Reynolds turns 49 this year and still looks great, so hopefully, he’s at least got one or two Deadpool roles left in the tank.
