Marvel fans are divided over a potential casting choice in the upcoming MCU movie, Black Panther 3.

Towards the end of 2024, it was confirmed that Black Panther 3 was on the way but let’s be honest, we all knew it was being released. But it’s nice to get that confirmation with Nate Moore returning to direct which will be his last MCU project for the foreseeable future.

Check out the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever trailer below!

The last Marvel movie in this series is Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the first live-action movie of the property not to star the late, great Chadwick Boseman who sadly passed away following a battle with colon cancer in 2020.

Previous rumours have suggested that Toussaint, the son of T’Challa who we were introduced to in Wakanda Forever could be the next Black Panther. It remains to be seen who takes up that prestigious role but only time will tell.

Recent rumours claim that a new supervillain will be in Black Panther 3 with Achebe, a puppet-wielding, master strategist boasting superior intelligence. This relatively new character who was first introduced in Black Panther Vol 2 #3 is not to be underestimated.

News of Achebe being in Black Panther 3 was shared by Twitter user MCUFilmNews (via MyTimeToShineH), and it was incorrectly claimed that Denzel Washington will be playing the live-action role in the MCU movie.

CORRECTION: Achebe will be in the film, while Denzel will not play the character.

However, while Denzel Washington won't be playing Archebe in Black Panther 3, the character will reportedly have a role to play.

“I don’t want him to be a villain. I want him to be Shuri’s uncle,” exclaimed snshanah. You never know, Uncle Denzel is not impossible if he’s not playing Achebe.

“I am excited to see what this villain can do,” said symons_gra17648.

“I'm about to go watch YouTube videos on Achebe because I don't know who that is,” replied QxranFlixs.

With a bit of luck, we’ll learn in the coming months if Archebe is in Black Panther 3 and who will be playing him. We’ll keep you posted when that information drops.
