A new Avengers: Doomsday leak has got fans hyped as it teases the return of a familiar location.
Avengers: Doomsday began filming in April, following a lengthy reveal of each cast member that’ll be joining the ensemble superhero film when it releases next year.
While details are still being kept light, the plot of Doomsday involves the titular Avengers heroes facing off against Victor Von Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr.
Now, a new leak from the set of Doomsday reveals that a location from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will be featured.

The location in question is Madripoor, a fictional city created for Marvel Comics which has appeared in several stories over the years. In the MCU, it was previously featured in the Disney Plus series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
Here are the leaked images in question:

Fans will remember Madripoor as the city where the Power Broker, revealed to be former SHIELD agent Sharon Carter, resides.
In addition to The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, small references to the city have also been made in Shang-Chi and the Ten Rings and Deadpool & Wolverine.
In the comics universe, Madripoor is usually associated with the X-Men, particularly Wolverine. It first appeared in New Mutants #32 (October 1985).
Avengers: Doomsday has already confirmed several X-Men actors to be returning, with Patrick Stewart, James Marsden, and Ian McKellen reprising their roles. So, it’s entirely possible this could be where the story takes them.

“Hopefully this means they make Madripoor actually look like it’s in Southeast Asia,” wrote one fan on Reddit. “Everyone in FatWS looked like they were dressed for winter… when they’re supposed to be on an island outside Indonesia.”
Regarding the possibility of this confirming Sharon Carter is returning, one user wrote: “If so, I hope they’ve fixed her. She was a completely different person in TFATWS, it made no sense.”
While that would make sense, Carter’s actress Emily VanCamp is not currently confirmed to be appearing in Avengers: Doomsday.
Madripoor could also be featured for an entirely different reason. It’ll be a while before we find out its true purpose in the story, as Avengers: Doomsday releases in cinemas on 1st May, 2026.
