Marvel star teases our new MCU Loki, and it's an inspired pick

Should this Loki get a run at the MCU?

Will we get to see classic Loki again in the MCU? Richard E Grant certainly wants to come back if the time and story are right.

While Tom Hiddleston’s Loki has stepped aside for the time being we’re left without a God of Mischief, but in a recent interview with Metro, Richard E Grant has said he would happily return as classic Loki.

Loki might not be part of the 2025 Disney+ lineup but we've got a lot of great stuff coming our way

Discussing his time on the Loki TV show and his appearance as classic Loki with the full horned helmet.

Of course, if you’re all caught up on the brilliant Disney+ show, you’ll know that classic Loki actually sacrificed himself to save the other Loki variants.

But, as we’re all aware, dead doesn’t mean dead in the MCU, or any comic books.

When talking to Metro, Grant was asked if he’d return to which he replied, “in a heartbeat.”

Continuing on from this he further said, “The only caveat that I had about Loki was that I never got to wear a muscle suit, which I thought I would, because the character has muscles, big shoulders.”

As Grant was appearing as a classic version of the beloved character his look wasn’t designed to be covered in muscles and ripped like a Captain America or Thor.

“But I’ve got no muscles, born without any.” In the end, they gave him a cape to cover for his lack of muscles.

It would be great to see the legendary British actor back in the yellow and green to extend his performance of Loki.

With the show finished, or at least on hiatus, it’s unlikely he’ll make a return unless the right story comes along.

This also goes for showrunner Kevin Wright too who has previously said, “I don't think any of us would ever want to rush into a season 3 if there's not a good story to tell.”
