Following a few pictures from a recent premiere on Broadway, Marvel fans are pretty certain they’ve found their new Storm for the MCU… and it’s an actor some Marvel fans should already be familiar with.
Before all that though, quick segue. The picture of the actor in question was taken at the Broadway premiere of the new musical “Teeth”.
And yes, in case any of you are having flashbacks to a horrifying movie you watched as a teenager, this play is an adaptation of that Teeth from 2007.
If you have no idea what I’m on about, good for you. I’m going to struggle getting into the plot synopsis for that film without causing my poor editor a bunch of work, so Google it if you’re curious. Don’t do it while you’re at work though.

Anyway, back to the picture in question. Actor Lupita Nyong’o, perhaps best known for her starring role in Jordan Peele's horror film Us and her role as Nakia in the MCU film Black Panther, was spotted at the premiere of the musical dressed as the X-Men character Storm.
Commenters in the Reddit thread showing off the actor’s Halloween costume over on the r/marvelstudios subreddit were in unanimous agreement that this is the coolest thing they’ve ever seen, and I can’t blame them because Nyong’o is absolutely crushing the look.
“Okay now we need her as storm, this was her audition” commented user Suavecito70.
“She would be a perfect storm my god” agreed user scottirltbh.

Now, of course, Nyong’o probably won’t be starring in the mainline MCU timeline as Storm anytime soon. Stranger things have of course happened, but recasting an actor within the main MCU universe is a pretty rare occurrence.
But, in a separate universe? Well, then things would suddenly be a lot more likely. Maybe we’ll even see the actor pop up in the role in Avengers: Doomsday.
