Marvel shares first look at our new Venom

Who's that symbiote!

Although we think we know what this iconic character looks like, all that is about to change now that Marvel has given us a peek at the new Venom.

Marvel fans may be predominately focused on the casting of Spider-Man 4’s villain, but other important updates are also worthy of note.

One of which is our first look at this new (and maybe improved?) Venom.

In the upcoming issue of Venom War, father and son will battle it out to claim the Venom title.

Whoever ends up in possession of this moniker not only gets to walk away the victor, but they also get to revamp the symbiote’s look.

Speaking of Venom, have you seen the trailer for Venom: The Last Dance?

A teaser for the fifth issue says, “The Victor of Venom War Emerges With an All-New Look!”

The press release continues, “Al Ewing and Iban Coello's Venom War concludes in November. The victor of the symbiote showdown will debut an all-new look. Keep an eye out this week for more details!”

Unfortunately, we can’t tell much from the issue’s front cover because the image of Venom has been blacked out.

That said, there are obvious changes in the symbiote’s appearance.

Despite maintaining a bulky and ripped form, as well as the familiar claws, one arm is far more enlarged than the other.

And... that’s really all we can glean from the image at this time.

It’s not much, but it still has Marvel fans intrigued.

“Father versus son in a showdown of showdowns that threatens to tear the world asunder! From heavyweight talent champions Ewing and Coello comes a Battle for the 'Biote like you've never seen!”

Whatever happens, it’s going to be big.

Currently, there’s no release date for this next chapter, however, with further details promised for later in the week, we’ll hopefully learn more soon.

While they wait, fans can discuss the pros and cons of both Maguire and Garfield returning to Spider-Man 4.

Marvel could be headed for a fall with that creative move...

Let’s just hope the new Venom pays off; we can't bear the thought of two mistakes in a row.
