One Wolverine? That’s not nearly enough for Marvel fans. We want to see as many variations of the MCU’s Wolverine as possible.

Thankfully, Marvel is more than aware of our need and has unveiled a new Wolverine variant.

You might adore it or you might loathe it, but either way, Deadpool & Wolverine made an impression.

As a result, fans want to look behind the scenes and see what could have been in this MCU blockbuster.

You've likely all seen Deadpool & Wolverine, but why not watch the trailer for old times sake

Some concept art for the film has already been revealed. However, this upcoming book highlights more ideas that didn’t quite make the final cut.

There are plenty of Wolverine variants of interest, but we’d argue that one in particular is intriguing; it’s the Wolverine x Hulk mashup.

Never before has the MCU branch of the fandom seen these two heroes come together in this way. Such a variant would be a formidable foe indeed.

Hulkerine has been seen in the comics before, though not quite like this.

Rather than being a Wolverine variant, Hulkerine was a creation born from the very heroes he eventually had to fight.

Even though Deadpool & Wolverine’s version wouldn’t have been true to the comics, it would have been a wild surprise – one of many within the film.

As with so many things, it simply wasn’t meant to be.

Frustrating though that may be for fans learning of this loss, at least Marvel has given us a chance to see what this new Wolverine variant would have looked like.

Phase Six of the MCU now has a schedule, meaning it won’t be long before more promising characters end up lost to the cutting room floor.

It’s going to be tough to deal with, but just think of all the thrilling new releases on the way.

Our first teaser for the Black Panther sequel is just one of the numerous projects we’re looking forward to learning more about.

Marvel is spoiling us after a slow release year.
