Marvel fans want to see MCU's new Wolverine in the role 'forever'

The new MCU Wolverine is a hit with fans

If Hugh Jackman doesn’t move forward with any more films, the MCU's Wolverine is likely to be played by Dafne Keen. It makes sense with the plans going forward, and Keen would like to play the role forever.

It seems fans of the MCU would also quite like that, too. You could say they’re ‘keen’ to see her stay in the role.

Marvel is celebrating 85 years of entertaining fans across the world

In a recent interview with Empire Magazine, Dafne Keen expressed “I would 100% do this for the rest of my life.”

When discussing this on Reddit, fans think it is a great idea, with many singing the praises of her character and acting skills.

One Reddit user, BlakeWho, said “I'd rather see her as the MCU Wolverine than have Logan back again.”

Of course, we don’t know what Marvel’s plans are for the introduction of the X-Men, Keen’s version of Wolverine could play a key part.

Redditor mjmarston207 is eager for her to continue, “If she is truly prepared for that, then I'd love her to be X-23 forever.”

This refers to her comic book name where X-23 has been a popular character for many years now.

One user would love to see Hugh Jackman a final time before Dafne takes the reins saying “Honestly X-23 has a pretty great story and I’d be fine with them going this route after a victory lap for Hugh.”

There are, unsurprisingly, many replies to the news saying simply “Til you’re 90” echoing the line Deadpool says to Wolverine in the latest MCU film, Deadpool and Wolverine.

“I’m totally fine with that. MARVEL pay the young woman,” says Jarvis-Savoni and I’ll get behind that sentiment.

I’d love to see Keen carry on the legacy of the character. After all, the ending of Logan, plus the reunion of the two characters acts as a passing of the torch that would be great for the MCU.
