It isn’t just Deadpool & Wolverine increasing those film and TV ratings, it’s this new show, as well.

While fans believe that Blade has been cancelled, that isn’t to say Marvel isn’t ready to create another R-rated project.

Large steps have already been taken in the MCU to shed some of its kid friendly reputation thanks to Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool.

Still, the mature themed content isn’t over quite yet.

A new teaser for the upcoming Marvel Zombies has revealed that the four-episode series will have an R-rating (otherwise known as TV-MA).

What If...? has given us so many iconic moments, wouldn't you agree?

Promising a far more intense and dark experience than what we’re used to, the first clip of the show left fans in awe at D23 2024.

For those who weren’t aware of a new TV series being in the works, Marvel Zombies is a spin-off of episode five from season one of Marvel’s What If...?

The project was first announced back in 2021, however, with so much having happened since then, it’s easy to have forgotten about this show.

Thankfully, Marvel Studios gave us a firm nudge to remind us of what’s coming.

In the clip shown, Shang-Chi is bitten by a zombie, resulting in his father, Wenwu, giving the Ten Rings to Shang-Chi to save him.

What a sacrifice.

The perils kept coming, though, as witnessed in a scene where Katy uses the Ten Rings in an attempt to stave off the unforgiving zombie horde.

A dire situation for sure, and one that gets worse, for within five years, the world is all but dead under the strain of the zombies.

From beginning to end, the action in this teaser didn’t let up; it’s a hugely promising snippet that has fans confident this R-rated show is going to elevate the Marvel experience.

As of yet, there’s no set date for when Marvel Zombies will air, however, speculation is rife that it’ll release no later than 2026.

So, only two years to wait...!

We’re already hungry for more, we’re not sure we’ll make it that long.
