Marvel fans are, well, marvelling over the MCU's new Thor and quite frankly, we can’t get enough either.

The world of Marvel is no stranger to switching things up, even when it comes to some of its most popular characters, such as the legendary X-Men member, Ororo Munroe - also known as Storm.

The beloved character is a force of nature, oozing with charisma, which is why fans are so eager to see her debut in the MCU.

Earlier this week, Marvel released the trailer for the third and final season of its critically acclaimed animated series, What If…? coming to Disney Plus next month.

As the name of What If…? suggests, it explores alternate scenarios of Marvel’s multiverse and has brought us some truly out-there episodes such as a zombie Captain America and Scarlet Witch.

Just as the trailer for season three concludes, we are introduced to Storm, the Goddess of Thunder, as she prepares herself to battle with what looks to be an Architeuthis Dux, more commonly known as a Giant Squid.

That brief moment in the trailer is epic and it seems that many MCU fans agree.

“I'm unfathomably excited,” wrote Reddit user ThatFreakyFella in a thread discussing the new trailer.

“GODDESS,” said Twitter user BackKing2018, putting it simply.

“Storm looks awesome,” exclaimed StormFan27 while an excited RachelleAkuffo shouted, “STOOOOOORM!!!!”

That all being said, trulyyblu put into words what most of us are probably thinking: “I don't understand why this has to be the last season. There are literally unlimited possibilities.”

Like, seriously Marvel and Disney, why? Just why? This is a series that could go on forever.

Season three of What If…? premieres on Disney Plus on 22 December and concludes on 29 December 2024 with episodes airing daily.
