Marvel bringing back forgotten MCU hero in new series

Marvel bringing back forgotten MCU hero in new series

Just one of many cameos

Marvel is no stranger to bringing back some of our favourite superheroes in its more recent projects and this latest return is no exception.

This time it will be its third season of What If…? that will see some fan-favourites return including the reintroduction of Eternals’ Kingo.

Check out 2021's Eternals below!

Before that, What If...? Season 3 is set to return to Disney+ on 22 December and will feature the return of beloved Marvel characters such as Paul Bettany’s White Vision, Spider-Man: Far From Home’s villain, Mysterio and the beloved Storm from X-Men.

For characters such as White Vision, this will be the first time we have seen them since 2021’s WandaVision and the same can be said for Eternals’ Kingo who was also last seen when the movie was released three years ago.

Played by Kumail Nanjiani, Kingo is set to appear in the third and final series of the animated show and we know this thanks to a recent trailer released.

Sharing a scene with Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness, he is seen in the background as she exclaims, “It’s showtime” and is seen once again with glowing eyes when the Eternal heroes are linking together to form the Uni-Mind.

It remains to be seen how much of a role Kingo will play in Season 3 of What If…? But the trailer makes it seem like he is the only Eternal left alive after Agatha may have absorbed the powers of his team.

Does this mean that he has teamed up with Agatha in order to stay alive and keep his powers? Or is he finding a way to free the rest of the Eternals?

The latter would make sense considering we see him link to the Uni-Mind where he may just discover that some of his friends are still alive.

That would be a lot better than seeing him become a slave to her and her powers.

Either way, we have less than a month to go until we get to see the third and final season of this much-loved animated show.
