Marvel's Loki returns to MCU alongside some big names

It's a brief return for Tom Hiddleston's Loki

Tom Hiddleston’s fan-favourite Loki has resurfaced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, although it may not be exactly in the way you’d hoped.

While it doesn’t appear that Loki is getting a third season, we’re assumedly going to see the character again.

I mean we are in The Multiverse Saga, after all, and Loki is now the God of Time.

That’s surely going to be a factor that plays into the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday and/or Secret Wars, one would assume.

The truth is though that nothing is set in stone.

Hiddleston isn’t currently tied to any specific projects, but as I said, he did just resurface in the MCU.

How? Thanks to a deleted scene from Loki’s second season which has been released to celebrate the launch of the season’s 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook.

Captain America: Brave New World is set to land in February.

A minute-long deleted scene has surfaced online which sees Loki reeling off a list of those who have considered him a problem over the years.

You can take a look at the scene below.

That’s a list that features some pretty major names from the Marvel canon.

Some of these are characters we’ve actually seen on screen like Hercules, who appeared in the post-credits scene of Thor: Love and Thunder.

Many though are characters who’ve yet to surface in the MCU, including the likes of Amora, better known as Enchantress, and Absorbing Man.

If we’re being pedantic, Absorbing Man did actually feature in Agents of Shield with Carl Creel being brought to life by actor Brian Patrick Wade but that series is so longer considered canon, instead happening in an alternate timeline.

It’s not a deleted scene that hugely changes our understanding of Loki’s second season, but it’s certainly nice to finally see these little Easter eggs come to light.
