Deadpool & Wolverine was, fair to say, a colossal success which is perhaps as we expected.

Yes, it was released during what was otherwise a rough patch for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but Ryan Reynolds knows what he’s doing when it comes to drumming up hype.

Hugh Jackman’s return as Wolverine was always going to get bums in seats, and then those additional cameos only helped spread the word of mouth praise.

The dust has settled now following the film’s release.

In fact, it’s Agatha All Along’s turn in the spotlight as the TV show prepares to launch next week.

Before we truly leave Deadpool & Wolverine behind though, I want to highlight an Easter egg you’ve likely not taken notice of.

That’s according to the film’s director Shawn Levy.

Take a look at the trailer for Agatha All Along below before its premiere on 18 September.

Hugh Jackman fans will likely know that the actor portrayed Jean Valjean in the 2012 film adaptation of Les Miserables.

Well, that’s actually referenced in Deadpool & Wolverine.

In the opening sequence, Logan’s adamantium skull is marked with the number 24601.

In Les Miserables, Valjean is prisoner 24601 - a number which features prominently in several of the musical’s songs.

The number stamp is located on the roof of the skull’s mouth, as spotted by Twitter user WolverSteve.

“We’ve been wondering who would notice that first,” Levy added in a retweet, confirming the Easter egg.

I wonder if there are more fun details yet to be discovered then?

I wouldn’t put it past Levy, Reynolds, and Jackman given just how subtle that Les Mis nod is.

In related Marvel Cinematic Universe news, Spider-Man 4 is finally beginning to manifest.

While the film remains unconfirmed in terms of a big, fancy Marvel reveal, it has been confirmed that Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton is on board.
