Deadpool officially set to return in 2025, Marvel confirms

We all know by now that dead doesn’t mean dead in the world of comic books. This is why Deadpool is making a comeback next year despite recently dying in the pages of Deadpool #6.

That’s right, the merc with the mouth will be back in 2025 to fight alongside his daughter Ellie who has been battling away in his place for a few issues.

Deadpool & Wolverine is set to debut on Disney+ in the coming months

It all started when Death Grip managed to finally kill Deadpool by absorbing the Muramasa blade which has the ability to nullify healing powers.

This allowed Death Grip to put the dead in Deadpool and kill off the motormouth once and for all.

However, this is comic books and that is one of Marvel’s cash cow heroes, so he was never going to stay cold for long.

Despite being currently on display like some weird corpse mannequin in the HQ of D&D, his daughter Ellie is on the path of resurrecting her dear old dad.

This means she has to get through mutant assassin Valentine Vuong and M.O.D.O.K. before she can put some life back into that corpse.

When she does, and we know she will as Marvel has given the world a peek at Deadpool #10, the father and daughter duo will team up as assassins for hire, Deadpool and Daughters LLC.

The business will also include Princess the symbiote dog, Taskmaster, and Doug Siravanta.

In a way, I’m a little disappointed Wade Wilson couldn’t stay dead for longer. It seems that Marvel just can’t sit still when it comes to killing off a character.

Having him stay dead for a year or more just would have given his resurrection more impact and reason to celebrate.
